The troubled Artech Residences project in Aventura has sold 15 units to Argentinian investors for $7.5 million in a bulk transaction, the South Florida Business Journal is reporting.

Citing county property records, the business newspaper says the properties sold for $502,500 -- $324 per square foot . The bulk deal brings to 41 the number of units sold in visually striking 235-unit building on 188th Street.

The glass-heavy curved building was designed by Carlos Ott. It fronts its own marina where partial ownerships yachts are available.

Its initial closing were at close to $700 per square foot but more recent deals have come in at closer to $400 per square foot, a spokesman for the developers told the Business Journal.

According to Artech's website, units are now being offered for lease as well as for sale.
