Credit Mother Nature and efficient work by contractors for an early reopening of tennis courts at Aventura's Founders Park.

The city announced July 22 that the courts are ready for play, five days ahead of schedule.

The $9,900 resurfacing project at the NE 190th Street park was originally scheduled for July 6-20 but the work had been bumped to July 13-27. That gave crews a break in the weather and the work proceeded ahead of pace.
