Another Aventura-based tech company is making ripples in the tech world.

Fun Electronics Inc. has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with Emerson Radio Corp. to manufacture and distribute laptop computers, netbooks, digital cameras, camcorders and audio devices. The products will be sold under the Emerson brand label in the U.S. and Canada.

"We are very excited of this new partnership. Emerson has been a household name in the world for the last 60 years and to be united with them is an honor," said the CEO of Fun Electronics, David Levy, in a press release Oct. 6. He said Fun Electronics, is in the process of introducing its new high-end line of electronics yet to be seen in the U.S. marketplace.

Greenfield Pitts, Emerson's CFO, said: “We were very impressed with the quality of the products Fun Electronics introduced to us and we are excited about the prospects that this relationship presents to further advance the Emerson brand name."

Fun Electronics is an international manufacturer and distributor with offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Asia and the Middle East. Its Aventura executive offices are located at 2999 NE 191^st St.

The deal with Emerson has an option for additional three-year renewals. Emerson stock (AMERX: MSN) rose about 2 percent on the news.
