Aventura attorney stars in scary Bloomberg real estate update

Aventura attorney Robert Cooper tells the Bloomberg news service that, in the past two years, he has filed over 1,500 suits on behalf of clients trying to escape contracts to buy South Florida condos.

Being the leading voice in Bloomberg's Oct. 16 update on South Florida real estate conditions here shouldn't hurt his business.

Times continue to be tough, Bloomberg points out. Buyers who in 2006 pledged to pay $1,000 a square foot are now finding the property's market value isĀ  $350 a square foot.... or less. Big names -- Trump, Dezer, The Related Group -- aren't immune. Doomsayers set the floor at about $100 per square foot after the Corus Bankshares foreclosures hit the market.
