For Le Meridien resort in Sunny Isles Beach, it could be a fresh start.

Benchmark Hospitality International announced Nov. 11 that the resort, now renamed the Marenas Resort, had become part of its portfolio of high-end Florida properties. Benchmark also manages Costa d’Este Beach Resort, owned by  Gloria and Emilio Estefan and located in Vero Beach; the Naples Bay Resort, and The Villas of Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando.

The beachfront Marenas Resort has 48 first-class guestrooms as well as 142 one- and two-bedroom suites, each with a full kitchen.
