One of Aventura's most famous residents is moving out.

The Pritikin Longevity Center and Spa is leaving its home at the Turnberry Yacht Club this week for new digs at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa.

During its decade in Aventura, the Pritikin Center has served more than 25,000 guests with its regimen of healthy eating, exercise and lifestyle modification. Country Inns Magazine rated Pritikin's Aventura layout as "the resort spa of choice in Florida." Pritikin had moved to the Aventura resort in May, 1999.

The center has built itself into a health conglomerate with food-to-go, books, video and CD programs.

Two private lodges at the Marriott resort will be dedicated to Pritikin guests, starting Dec. 6.

A week at the center costs $4,500 per person with seasonal discounts available.
